On the Radar: Pugly Pixel + Mellowmint!
I just wanted to give a big shout out to a couple of sites where I found my scanned in washi tapes and textures (vintage postcards) for this month's banner at Poppytalk Handmade. Normally I scan in my own ephemera to use for my monthly-themed banners, but I couldn't resist the goodness happening over at Pugly Pixel and Mellowmint. These girls are crazy good at what they do and have some amazing graphics to prove it! I also love how they share things for free. Katrina of Pugly Pixel made the pink striped and plain pink washi tapes I used, (I just thinned them out a bit with the "transparency" tool in Illustrator), and the vintage postcard background and flower is from Mellowmint. Katrina also gives some great tutorials on her site how to use them. Thank you ladies for sharing your magic!
