The Woodworker by Aaron Rayburn
We love this little video, Portland-based artist, Aaron Rayburn created which highlights a recent project he's working on for a major magazine cover. He found some Prelinger video archives (archive.org) and mish mashed some of it together with the project he just finished up.
The project was made using 300 year old Oregon Black Walnut (harvested after struck by lightning) which Aaron die cut the letters by hand and laser engraved the tops of the letters. Materials: Live Oregon moss, shipping crate (made from recycled barn wood, about 40-60 yrs old), raffia, lots and lots of varnish, and some love.
