The Desk Set
Contributor post by Eva Jorgensen of Sycamore Street Press
We're moving studios this weekend, and while dreading the actual moving part, I can't wait to get organized in our new space. When it comes to my desk accessories, I can't decide if I want to stick with my current multi-colored decor or try and move to a more understated palette... so I've made an inspiration board for each. Which would you pick?

Yeah, I know that dilemma. I usually start the sober colours, so the second palette, but then colours start sneaking in, and before I know it, it's colour all over.
Me too Jannek, I prefer the understated approach, but almost immediately I miss the joy and strength of colour, so finding a balance between the two is what it's all about, I guess :)
Good luck with the new workspace, Eva!
understated! so beautiful...
While I can really appreciate the more colorful palette of the top collection, I would personally go with the more calming, natural palette of the bottom. Especially the grid notebook. I definitely need one of those to use when designing my weaving patterns.
I literally JUST blogged about those exact same notebooks from Yellow Owl Workshop! I just bought them last weekend and I LOVE them. Cool to see that others agree with me!

Understated with a pop (or many pops) of color, always a winning combination!!
naturals all the way! I love the industrial tone of it all.
