Over It
18 artists, designers, fashion designers, copyrighters, and art directors from Portland, Oregon Territory installed some amazing giant type using 14.2 miles of string outlining 25 letters on 2,500 eyelets strung by hand. The press release reads "Can 18 disparate Portland artists, writers, designers, art directors, fashion designers and illustrators get together and work as a singular unit to make art? Probably not. But Jelly Helm, Aaron Rayburn, Jeremy Pelley, Matthew Foster, Fritz Mesenbrink, Chris Hutchinson, Damion Triplett, Jennie Hayes, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Marco Kaye, Mike Giepert, Justin Scrappers Morrison, Driscoll Reid, Jason Sturgill, David Neevel, Taylor Twist, Jimm Lasser, and Julia Oh got together and tried anyway."
OVER IT, an experiment in creating as a group, letting go, disagreement, misunderstanding, backpedaling and trust. Click here for the back story.

absolutely incredible. I can't get over all the little shadows cast by the strings and the way the words just sort of float there on the wall. Amazing.
