What you dreamed of making as a child: What didn't I dream of! I was in my own world most of the time (I was very shy). I wanted to be an author because I loved making up stories about running away and having adventures with talking animals and friendly ghosts. I made books with hand drawn illustrations and I even put pockets in the front for lending slips like they had in books in the library. I had a bad habit of getting so lost in daydreams in class that I sometimes got in trouble for not paying attention and I was even sent for a hearing test. Of course my hearing was fine.
What do you dream of now: I still spend a lot of time dreaming about other places, and wanting to run away somewhere, preferably to a cabin in the forest or a house by the beach - anywhere that is far from computers and mass advertising. Plus like every other home-based artist, I dream of having more time and space to devote to making art.
