Writing on the wall at the Ace Hotel

New York-based artist Kate Neckel recently finished drawing on the wall in room 1208 at the Ace Hotel New York. Using black acrylic markers, Kate drew stories of owls, birds people and objects in the Ace. A few friends and Ace staff stopped by during the process. Visit her blog to see a few detail shots of the ace wall and the Ace Hotel's blog. (Photos by Cara Bloch and Ryan Burke).

That's a cool idea. I wonder if it was the hotel's idea or hers.

Thanks everyone! Christine, the idea was mine...I studied the hotel for a few months and then drew all of my findings!

I love this idea - so impulsive and unexpected - just like the rest of the ACE. I'd like to stay there sometime!
