Made with Love (Set)

It's 'Roid Week 2010 and although Andrea of Hula Seventy will be giving us the deal on Thursday I couldn't help but notice this sweet little set happening from Supercapacity. Dubbed "Made with Love", Toronto photographer/art director Alison Garnett started collecting hand knitted items from Value Village that were clearly made by hand, with love, by grandmothers and aunties. And as she found it quite sad that they end up on the rack at a second hand store, Alison started to document them using polaroid. Love this, and look forward to watching the set grow.

How sweet! I love the use of light in these, it really brings out the delicacy of these objects.

So cute! I love this idea...I agree that it's sad so many handmade beautiful gifts are cast off to be forgotten in secondhand stores. It's great that somebody is giving them new life!

That's such a cool project. I love how tiny and doll-like the objects appear.

I saw this picture on flickr last night and want to thank you for the context...it makes the images that much more beautiful!

Photography is such a great way for these handmade items to live on in a new way. I think these photos would look fab in a kid's room.
