Today we're inspired by the stunning Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) as found via Fieldguided last night. I totally forgot about them actually as it's been years since I've seen them, and now I want these as art on my walls on large large canvases. Simply mezmerizing. Visit Fieldguided for a few more and make them into your desktop wallpaper like me!

Way down here in Texas, we don't see that... haha. But I'd love to take a trip sometime to the north to see the. I think it would be so magical!

Great photos! I've never had a chance to see them but that's one of the reasons why I want to go to Iceland. It must be an amazing experience.

I'm so glad you liked the pictures I chose!
One of my favourite BC memories is from a camping trip we took around the province a few years ago. My partner woke me up at 3 in the morning and held back the flap of our tent so I could see the Lights from the warmth of my sleeping bag. It's was breathtaking.
glad you guys are loving anabela's finds!
anabela - thanks for finding these
kim - wow, sounds magical.
How beautiful. If and when we see them they have lost it's colour... we are too far south. It would be amazing to see them like that.
Oh wow, what incredible photos! I have always dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights!
It's one of my dreams to stay at Ice Hotel in Sweden and watch the Northern Lights!!It's phenomenal.
If there's ever been a must-see, this is it
I saw them in Michigan in the summer of 1978 on the Fourth of July. They were unbelievable....greenish curtains of light undulating across the northern sky. We sat on the hood of our car, awestruck. It gives me chills thinking about it....I hope someday I'm able to see them again.
Great Pictures! Northern Lights is a must see.
i have seen them three times in my life thus far
they inspired a little olympic evening stitching this week
