Inspiration: A french Haussmann-style apartment

A little french perspective today from Marie Claire Maison with this modern yet classic Haussmann-style apartment re-invented by architect, Valerie Mazerati. Moldings, fireplace, everything has been redesigned in white for a light and airy result. Photo credit: Emmanuel Barbe.

Generally speaking, this is far too minimalistic for my personal taste. However, I love those 4 lamps on the mantel piece with their cords hanging so decoratively.

A few floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and I'm sold. No need to convince me further... : ) I'm such a sucker for books.

I love this kind of look and feel in a home, pretty much what we are trying to achieve in ours. I seem to need brightness, space and less clutter as I get older...
