House Tour: Nest Pretty Things
Today we are lucky enough to get a little house tour from the home of Tamar and Ronen of Nest Pretty Things in Shelburne, Vermont. Along with their three teenage sons, Tamar and Ronen have created a quaint cosy home filled with collectibles, coloured accents and treasures they've collected along the way. We love the laid back vibe especially evident in their very comfortable country-style kitchen, which she tells us only cost $2500 (not including the applicances and sink). They bought the kitchen cupboards from Ikea and purchased the shelves (which they painted white to match the base cabinets) from Home Depot. She say they just love it as shows no wear and tear, standing up to constant cooking and three boys.
Besides making beautiful jewelry, Tamar is an interior designer who also has a beautiful decorating blog online called, Nest Decorating. You can also see more photo's of her home by visiting her flickr here and here. Thank you Tamar!

her poor husband, enduring somewhere so relentlessly feminine.
My immediate reaction to the kitchen is ugh! Too much clutter. It looks like you would have to clear some countersapce in order to be able to do any food prep. This house is too cluttered imo. Some of the colours are pretty, but it looks like the home of a female hoarder who lives alone, not the home of a woman who lives with her husband and three teenage sons!
I think it's really gorgeous! Looks really cozy. :)
wow...beautiful color and fresh looks!
beautiful home!
This house is just amazing! I love seeing spaces where they actually feel lived in and cozy. Way to go Tamar!
this house just looks for bright, loved and lived in. i love all the old plates. I have been thinking about starting a collection and not really collect them but use them for everyday. it just seems fun.
Yummy choice of colors.... I loved it all... All enthralling.... I in particular loved the kitchen.... A woman's space!!!!!

love, love, love this home. thanks so much for sharing!
I want that kitchen!!
Hmm, Im kind of on the fence on this home. The colors are pretty but it does look very cluttered for being such a small home. The design is just OK in my opinion. :/

I like the art that she's decorated her home with. And I love the fact that they keep their little Rollei in stored away:) Too cute.
