d.i.y. - sweater transformations
I picked up Country Living (Feb 2010) issue over the weekend and loved their clever idea of transforming old sweaters into covers for lampshades, vases and things. Calling it their "wallet-friendly" project, they also make it easy as one just hot glues the sweater onto the piece. Covering anything - bowls, sconces, vases, bangles... cushions. Off to the goodwill!
Update: Thanks to reader, Brittany, she has directed us to the stytlist's blog, sweet paul, who created this project, and gives the how-to online. Thanks Brittany!
