New Year's Resolutions (10 for 2010)

Do you have any New Year's resolutions? We usually like to sit down New Years Eve and write down what we accomplished this past year and what we'd like to accomplish in the new year. It's a fun exercise which creates a lot of discussion and puts a positive outlook for the year ahead. Here's a fun take on it (handmade/vintage style).

No. 1. Take risks

Love by Sweet Harvey

No. 2. Have fun

No. 3. Be happy

No. 4. Make dreams a reality

One day we're going to live in Paris by Katie Gariepy

No. 5. Write more often

Notecards from Pistachio Press

No. 6. Tell friends they are amazing

Card by a. favorite design

No. 7. Create more

Make a Flip Book by Petite Press

No. 8. Float away for a day

I love your resolutions and the photographs that go with them. My New Years resolution is to live handmade and know more about what I am buying and who I am buying it from. In commitment to this resolution I have started learning to sew! Wish me luck...

Neat list! This year, well, technically next year, my #1 resolution is to be more frugal. Figure I'm off to a good start after canning my old cell phone company and signing up with StraighTalk. I'll be saving about $500 next year!!! Hooray for that. Let's see what other cost cutting ideas I come up with :)

Wonderful list and i like what others have added too.
What we do at new years is we write on a piece of paper something we would like to say good-bye to (ex. fear, stress, my job) and we burn it in a bowl while focusing on letting it go. Then we dump the ashes in the snow to be cleaned away. Then we take another piece of paper and write what we would like to say hello to in the new year (like your list). You can do what ever you want with that piece of paper- whatever feels right. It's a nice tradition for us : )

I like the idea of reviewing all of the past year's accomplishments before making new resolutions. One year ago, I was wishing I could start my own blog, and last February I started writing and now I'm clicking away like there's no tomorrow!

Your resolutions are fun and original, and I might adopt a few for myself!
