Poppytalk Giveaway! Fine Art Polaroid Prints

We love this series of fine art prints by Andrea Jenkins of Hula Seventy . So much so we have purchased three to give away here on the blog this week! They are prints of original polaroid photographs, taken with a vintage SX70 polaroid camera. You can click here to read more about how and why Andrea created the series and here to see more of her work. To enter the giveaway, please leave a comment here (at this post) answering the following: No. 1: What you dreamed of becoming as a child? No. 2: What do you dream of now? We will pick the best answer (or what we think is the best answer) Friday morning. The contest will run through to Thursday, June 3rd at 9pm (Pacific). Good luck everyone!

The Incredible Massive Letterpress Giveaway!

Back in December I decided to organize a letterpress swap, thinking I would be lucky if I found 10 printers to participate. After putting the word out and sending emails to some of my favorite printers, I ended up with a HUGE print exchange with a wonderfully diverse group totally 38 printers. The printers had until March to complete their prints and it wasn't until just a few weeks ago that the massive undertaking of sorting, arranging, packing and shipping the prints back to everyone was complete. photo courtesy robin dubin Involved in the swap are not only some well-known seasoned veterans but first-tim...

Book Giveaway: Blog Inc.

Times have really changed since we started out blogging (circa 2005), in fact, Joy was one of my first blog friends –and she was also very generous in offering her opinions about the blogging business when we were all first starting out, and so I'm more than happy to promote her book here today and offer a giveaway to one of our readers, courtesy of the folks from Chronicle Books ! This is a great little book, for those starting out and even for the seasoned blogger (like me) -I always believe in improving and changing with the ebb and flow of things. So in this season of giving, I would highly recommend it for someone who is thinking of or is on the adventure that is blogging. I remember that first year or so - it was probably...
