une mini-maison de week-end

We always have a soft spot for a quaintly decorated summer getaway, and this transformed boat garage has got to be one of our favourites. Every weekend, French owners, Agnès and Jacques Choi, creators of the shop Louison, come relax in their shack near the Loire. This is an idea of Le Corbusier, who also had a shed in the same area in the south. The couple transformed this former boat garage into an easy and comfortable place to live despite the size, nor water or electricity. Click here to watch a video of how they transform the building bringing the living room outdoors. (Link and photo's via marieclairemaison.com).

See that!...a little pre-aesthetic-thinking goes a long way. We can camp out in a shed, tent, or a even a New York flat with the best of both intention and execution. Live well.
