Love the playfulness that this wicker-hat chandelier gives to this room that I recently came across in the May '09 issue of Chatelaine magazine. The magazine recently featured the home of Wendy Williams Watt, the (*former) owner of the Vancouver decor shop, Liberty. This is her daughter's room and I love how the black polka-dot/pom-pom-esque bedspread and wicker blinds all pull together with the lighting to create such an awesome space. Unfortunately there isn't a source for the chandelier, only that it was purchased when her daughter was a baby. Photography by Kim Christie.

I believe that Liberty carried that chandelier years ago -- but Liberty hasn't been owned by Wendy Williams Watt for some time now. Five years? Maybe more.
Still a great shop, now on Broadway, but missing that certain "Wendy" touch since she's been gone.
Great bedroom!
Wow, that's mad!
This hat is made by Lampa and can be found here:

What a whimsical room! Love it!
he he, i love the pom pom bedspread. It reminds me of Heather's red comforter with little bows on it in the old movie Heathers...
Anon - oh how strange then that Chatelaine doesn't mention that .
Thanks Tajmahill! Awesome for the link!
Those are amazing! I too adore the sense of play, it would be such a fantastic place to get inspired.

Oh dear. This is too cute. Sigh. But I would be ready to kill if a designer did this to my house. hehehe
Lovely room - what a cute little dressing table set up too!
Love the overall whimsical feel to the room that the hat lampshades add. I could imagine just lying in bed all day gazing at those lampshades and dreaming of wonderland!

Wonderful that you found another source for the lights -- nice work, Tajmahill!

Wendy is runs her design consultant company "Grace" in Kitsilano, on Maple Street (Vancouver) ... for any of us who just can't live without that Wendy "Je ne sais quoi"!
Thanks Anon! That's great!
