The Art of the display

We picked out a few shots we found the last couple of days from different magazines, photo shoots, etc. displaying unique and clever ways to display art on walls. Not only traditional art, but butterflies, doilies, mirrors and such. Purely for inspiration.

Picture 6Photo by Donna Griffith. Canadian House and Home Style Editor, Stacey Smithers created this idea by turning some black and white photo's into a piece of art by painting a framed corkboard white.

Oeh, those butterflies are just the right way... my boyfriend has put up these big red butterflies on his livingroom wall... wich looks like crap, but i haven't had the heart to tell him. I wish he has chosen this way instead ;)

It's amazing that the doilies just shine in their current display--they look almost like snowflakes! I love it...although I would probably make it a rotating collection (or change the backing color from black to a light blue or something during the summer.

Quite lovely :)

Oh, I love the dining chairs in the Donna Griffiths picture! Does anyone know who makes them?

Oh my gosh... LOVE the butterflies! I'll have to try that once my kids are old enough to know they'd better not tear them down. :)

The butterflies look stunning, and the framed doilies reminds me of the extra lace I kept after my wedding dress was cut out...I'm going to frame it on the wall!

I love the collection of green items on the wall. What a wonderful way to display them. Who doesn't have a box of little treasures lying around? I'm going to pull mine out and see what grouping I can come up with.
