Patterns/Textures is an upcoming show at the Yes Gallery + Studio in Warren, R.I. It showcases watercolors by Maija Fiebig of Seattle and mixed media paintings by Sofia Barao of France. Where as Fiebig deconstructs and reconstructs textile imagery, Barao uses old photographs, sheet music and other found papers. The resulting work by each artist reveals rich and engaging layers of patterns and textures. 5% of proceeds to benefit L.I.F.E. Inc.'s Top Drawere Arts Center. Opening reception, September 5th 6-8pm.
