I'm really proud today to introduce you to Smock. It is a new line of letterpress wedding invitations, letterpress announcements and letterpress greeting cards – sustainably printed on bamboo paper in upstate New York. They are powered by wind energy and donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes through 1% for the Planet. Their retail packaging is tree-free and petroleum free and certified biodegradable. For their employees, they subsidize 20-week Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships with a local organic farm. Their commitment to the environment affects everything they do.
The fine folks there are offering Poppytalk readers a really sweet deal this week. A giveaway of three packs of their notecards (each is a set of 8 letterpressed cards with lined envelopes - your choice)! A retail value of $54. All you have to do is visit their website (www.smockpaper.com) and then come back here to Poppytalk and leave a comment in our comments box at this post telling us what your favorite product is at their website. We will then pick a name through some fabulous scientific method yet (wink, Fiona) to be determined next Wednesday, September 3rd and announce it then.
Also we are thrilled to be the first to introduce you to their brand new fonts they had specifically designed for them by calligrapher, Debi Zeinert. They worked with internationally-renowned type designer, Richard Kegler (of P22), who has created fonts from Monet's handwriting, among others. They created two styles -- one classic, one modern (the fonts are called Smock Clermont and Smock Spencerian), and they're only available through Smock.

my favorite is the ellie notecard, it's TOO CUTE.
I'm a fan of the Paxi fold cards that say "Hi there!" I love writing notes and these would be great for many occasions.
WOW! Their stuff is really beautiful!
I really like the "Willow" cards - I love grey & yellow together and I LOVE pussy-willows!
I love the Clermont font. I think my fav cards are the privet thank yous. I love the design and the colors.
Thank you so much to Smock and to PoppyTalk for offering this generous giveaway!
There are so many beautiful products on the Smock website; it is hard to choose just one! My favorite note cards are the Derby notes. But I also love the "Merci Beaucoup" Etienne thank-you notes (I'm a grad student in French. Lit., so it's kind of a given). :)
Thanks again!
Absolutely stunning. Smock has done a fabulous job of capturing class in their products.
My favorite is the Vettore wedding invitation, so classic. If I got this in the mail for a wedding, I would know it would be a special event!
Love the Derby and Butterfly Notes, Also a big fan of the wrapping paper- always love red.
I love "Bloom" and "Willow". These are beautiful whether or not I win the give-away.
Oh, man: how do you narrow it down? I think that Derby is my favorite just for the color combo and the way the pattern makes the paper look so soft. The matching wrapping paper is a nice touch too.
I LOVE the April social note. Living in the Seattle area has made me fall in love with umbrellas!
My favorite is the Delft folded cards set! Thanks!
I love stuff!! I would love to get an invitation on one of those beautiful artworks. It's the kind of cards you frame and put up on the wall.
It's really hard to choose a favourite but I think It has to be the "Horsey" stuff, just adorable!(I would definitely put that one on my wall)
Too hard to choose - but I think it would have to be either the Veranda Double-sided gift wrap or the Calliope Butterfly gift wrap - I would love to give a gift wrapped in this - the wrapping would be just as much a present!
I think the Derby one (among others) is exquisite. I'm so encouraged by the amount of Letterpress artists who are springing up, and who thriving. I'm also a bit jealous :)
I have three favourites which I can't choose from; The Delft Cards, the Bloom cards and the blank April social notes.
I think maybe Bloom is my favourite of the three. Beautiful!
The gift wrap is specially lovely.
What beautiful cards! The Ducky, Butterfly, and Bloom are beautiful. Thanks for offering this giveaway.
Wow. I'm a fan of the exquisite elephant. I'll be writing on this card to ecuador, just as a hello!
It's all simply gorgeous -but my favorite is the butterfly card. Those fonts are simply scrumptious too!
I am a fan on the Willow cards. What lovely cards!
I really love the Modern Cheer eco greeting card (http://smockpaper.com/social/#/note/414T). It is lovely, but is gender neutral enough that I would be comfortable sending it to my male and female friends. Love the mod touches, and even better - it's eco friendly!
I am in love with the fabulous eteinne "merci beaucoup" cards. All of their colors and designs are super great! Thanks smock for the generous giveaway!

I love the Bloom notecard! gorgeous!
I love the Pavilion double-sided gift wrap. Playful and lovely!
I like the butterfly blank folded card.
These are all really lovely - I like letterpressed cards that are bold, colourful and not to "precious" So these are perfect!
I would say all the wedding invitations but since I am already married... I love the "Liony" party invitation. I am planning my son's first birthday party and these would be great!
I was introduced to Smock through their sister company, Bella Figura and I absolutely LOVE them. My favorite product (line) is the Ellie suite. I love the colors and they even match my nursery for my baby-to-be. I'm thinking of getting some cards just to frame.
I love the thank you cards, especially the merci beaucoup one! Also the giftwrap is awesome. I might just have to buy some!
i am head-over-heels in love with all things letterpress! and smock has a fabulous collection to knock me, and everyone else, off their feet!
as for a smock favorite, that was a tough task -- everything is so lovely. i guess if i have to choose, i'd say it's a tie between "giraffe" and "ellie" social notes!

i love the april social note. i have a soft spot for umbrellas.
also - how cool that they participate in a CSA for their employees! *JEALOUS*
i really like the april note too. i love the butterfly ones and the little chicks. actually i don't think i could pick a favorite if i was holding them in my hands and would probably splurge on tons aha.
It's all gorgeous! I love the cheers notecard--the circles are so fun and bubbly!
Wow! I love the Sutton and the rounded corners with the vintage design. The typography is excellent and as a printmaker, I love that they are letterpressed. My wedding is coming up and these would be perfect!
I love the delft card! What a beautiful card to send to someone. All the items they offer are fantastic!
They all look magnificent! Since I couldn't decide on just one - the best ones, for me, would be The Paxi, the Bloom or the Butterfly!
LOVE the butterfly card. Letterpress is timeless.
the bloom fold card are definitely my favorite. so classic and beautiful.
Stunning products, and product photography!
I'd have to say Engadine was my favorite.
i love the derby! very patterns and colors.
Ohhh...so beautiful, so hard to choose a favorite! In a pinch, I'd have to say the "Willow" note card - but that is only because I have to choose only one. The colors on "Willow" are beautiful and I like the solid block of yellow juxtaposed with the willow image. So great that these are printed on bamboo paper.
i loooove their giraffe petite social cards!!! tooooo cute.
I love willow best :)
Absolutely beautiful, I love the texture! I think my favorite, hard to choose, was the delft fold (orange and blue flowers w/ no text). I am not sure if that is the correct name, some things on the page weren't loading.
The Everything Derby cards are lovely.
I'm really digging the "horsey" cards! So cute!
My favorite product is the Horsey petite fold.
I'm loving the Engadine from the wedding section. I love their colors and styles. They are all great! =)

These are all gorgeous.I really love the Blossom and Bloom cards. The designs are lovely. I would love to handle these beautiful cards in person. Great Product!
I love the April Party invites! the umbreallas are so cute!
I love the Butterfly notecards. The colour combination is perfect, and I like the deep ink impression on the paper.
I love the Blossom social notes.
My favourite would have to be the "Cheers" cards- just gorgeous!
They are all so gorgeous! I like the Willow cards the best though:)
Absolutely mouth-dropping designs. Love all in the social group but particularly the willow pattern. Gray & yellow is on my brain these days!
Beatrix. Definitely!! Great color, amazing detail, and a lovely sentiment.
My favourites are the horsey and giraffe designs - so sweet!!
Be still my beating heart! April Notes will bring a smile on any rainy day!
Everything is lovely! I love the colors! I really like all the animal note cards (horsey, giraffe, ellie...) and the pavilion wrapping paper!
Etienne! But everything was so beautiful, it was hard to choose. I love that they're eco-friendly and donate some of their profits- AWESOME!!
Wow, so many great options! If I HAD to choose, I'd pick either the Delft or Beatrix designs, but I'd be thrilled to get anything from their site. Thanks for sharing!
oh my gosh! I love love love these cards! the umbrella cards are adorable! their patterns and layering are gorgeous! fingers crossed!
How lovely :) I think my favorite is the "bloom" line. It's just so cheerful.
I'm in love with typography. I could stare at beautiful fonts all day long. I'm equally enthralled with paper products. So you can imagine the joy of discovering Smock. I particularly love the bamboo paper, letterpressed card called Bloom petite party. Beautiful.
I just adore all the gift wrap... it's all so beautiful and unique. The double-sided quality is so luxurious, and I love how the gift wrap coordinates with the cards.
Thank you for such a wonderful give-away!
Augh, where was all this stuff six years ago? :))
I would have gone for the Kurai or Vettore invitations.
Too hard to decide, they are all so pretty!! I guess I would go for the Derby stationary :)
Willow is simply lovely.. just looking at it lulls me into a calm state. I can only imagine the calming effects it will have my friends when they open up their letter and find this beautiful image to greet them.
i think it is safe to say the blossom print stationery is my absolute favourite. though, the butterfly wrap comes a close second.
and what a lovely website design.
I love the great big corporate conscious over at smock... but visually, my favorite thing about the site is the night time shots of the stationary. Something about the evening gives a formal tone... brilliant.
I love "Nouveau", as well as Ellie. Adorable!
I'm loving sutton in the wedding line. The top weight is wonderful! I love it.
Thanks for the tip about "SMOCK". What a beautifully designed site with gorgeous products. As we slip into Autumn, the "willow" notecards really stood out to me. I love the simple design and colors.
Thanks and great job!

I love the Etienne card. SO beautiful!
Thanks for the chance to win!
the privet thank you cards are absolutely beautiful. i think this is by far my favorite card website! even the envelopes are darling!
Horsey petite social note is my fav. NEIGH!
i really enjoy the helani wedding invitation & i'm pretty sure my husband would say his favorite part is that they are based in syracuse. go 'cuse!
my favorite is PARTY. i love umbrellas!!
i actually purchased nouveau from etsy, it is absolutely lovely!
My favorites are: Pagoda (colors are excellent, simple but elegant design, unusual) & April (fun colors, excellent subject (rain/umbrellas), perfect for the upcoming rainy days!)
On a site usability note, I really like the beautiful product photos, but as a consumer trying to decide between multiple Thank You cards, it would be nice to have the option to see all the products on one page with Thumbnails. (My 2 cents)
i was lucky enough to visit boxcar press in syracuse, where smock was born. the art that is churned out of this place is amazing and amazingly environmentally conscience - this gent and his crew has covered more ground than i will in a lifetime. and everyone there is so wonderful to work with...my favorites? ooo the party invitations have stolen my heart. the colors, the form...makes my heart swoon. now if only i could get my hands on some of that bamboo paper..hmmm.
