Paint and Ink
Paint and Ink was Etsy's featured seller recently, and I was naturally delighted to find her imaginary maps of faraway lands. Printed from original paintings drawn with dip pens and India ink and illuminated with glowing watercolor, her work reminds me of pirate treasure maps from old story books. These would make such great little boys room art! Also love these podged wood plaques which bring remarkable depth and life to the ink and gives the edges of the wood a sappy, resiny look. Click here to see more of her shop and read her featured seller interview here.

I like the pirate maps too. Great imagination and original idea. It looks so fun to conjure up the place names etc
I'm so excited to see Allison's work featured here! I met her at a Mapmaking workshop at MICA in Baltimore. It's great to see she's doing so much with her talent!

Thanks Anne for mentioning Allison's name, I was so excited about her work, I failed to mention it and cool you know her.
