trays+ folding stands
i'm seeing this idea everywhere and managed to find a collection in three different magazines just this week. from the august issue of martha stewart living (top 3), fall 2007 issue of good things for the home (next 2 above) and september 2007 issue of canadian living (below). old butler stands, luggage racks, camping and wooden stools topped with a tray makes an alternative and affordable replacement for an end table or together as coffee tables.
