bentwood, the kitchen gnome + pillows

going through the domino flickr pool last night i came across a home i featured last week, the kitchen gnome and see martina has uploaded a few more shots to her house set and i'm loving the one with her new table and chair set. both grace and victoria have been talking about bentwood chairs this summer and i love martina's version with these painted white feet. speaking of domino, they have a fantastic contest going on right now where if you enter a photo of your best decorated room you could win $10,000. sounds like fun to me.

while reading the kitchen gnome blog she has begun a sweet new children's clothing line called gesundheit clothing out of portland, oregon. there, i found these sweet linen pillows with abstract silk appliqué poppies and another with vintage buttons and a blue white cotton ticking on the back. i adore these.

I wonder if the feet of the bentwood chairs are dipped in plasti-dip? That's the stuff that you can dip tool handles in to get a protective rubber coating - and my mother uses it to cover the sharp metal feet of her music stand. What a great way to protect the floor from chair feet scratching, instead of those little felt circles!

gorgeous jan, you always find the best things. and p.s. i noticed you have betsy walton featured on your affordable art prints - she's one of my favorites!

the plasti-dip is a great idea but i just used regular acrylic paint.

as for two trees on etsy, her stuff is amazing! A friend pointed it out to me last week when I showed her the product photos of what I've been working on. Great minds think alike perhaps...
