alabama chanin
i was reading last night in the september issue of domino magazine about alabama chanin's jewelry line and home collection, so i decided to take a look online both at domino's link and her own site. i instantly fell for the recycled men ties antique chairs and the styling throughout. although her prices are a bit beyond my budget, the pieces are truly inspirational. i'm loving her fabric mums and gorgeous vintage quilts too.

I absolutely love that chair. We have a designer in South Africa who used old ties to create skirts, bags and even blazers.
Good find!

What a fun way to use ties. Last summer we got a whole bag of random ties at Salvation Army for $3 I love new uses for everyday things.
This is pure eye-candy, thank you for sharing.

oops, my bad. It was Cindy of Art for Housewives that linked your blog to me. I just posted this on my new neckties blog though. Sorry, I am so dizzy lately--it's scary, lol.
