got craft art market


there will be a cool new craft market happening this weekend here in vancouver called, got craft.

got craft's first show will be at the western front with 30 participants of local artists including see:be jewellery by colleen baran (colleenbaran.com) (bubbly, cloudy, modern silver) , adhesif (clothing made of repurposed sweaters), lauren elgee (jewellery made of vintage illustrations), handmade books by another graceful thought and track and field designs (cute animal pins and more).

saturday and sunday, May 12th & 13th - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
western front, 303 east. 8 th avenue (at scotia street), vancouver, b.c.

the first 25 people on sat will receive free SWAG bags- rather great swag bags.

Are there a fair amount of craft fairs like this in Vancouver, or is it more like a yearly thing?

there's a few, more at xmas, but the portobello market is once a month and then there are the odd things going on here and there.

Oh, I'm so envious of all these markets and fairs that you seem to have in Canada and the US! Over here, we have nothing of that. Well, there is one street market in Stockholm, but that's it! It seems like so much fun, and a great opportunity for the local artists!
