dv interior design & urban living expo

had a chance to drop by the dv interior design expo this weekend and managed to snap a few covert pictures. i wasn't really sure what to expect of the show, however was pleasantly surprised to find a few good locally designed pieces and representation by quality independant retailers such as inform interiors, living space, and koolhaus. i was even surprised to see jorg and olif bikes and their new room mates, lark with a booth. here's a few highlights of the show and i hope to feature a few others in the days to come.

inspired by the spaces between trees in the forest, these stools and lights are made of reclaimed or recycled trees, some from fallen or already-harvested wood. brent comber, designer.

this "dac-1" lounge chair (my favorite) was introduced at the expo by dacha design group. (see detailed image below).

richard schultz topiary lounge chair (above). and paola lenti rug (below), living space.

and newly launched wall decals, customized and collection, surface collective based in vancouver. (website and online store to be launched very soon!)

Great pics, i wish i could have gone to the show. I agree that Richard Schultz is excellent. Some of his work reminds me of Domane - they are an excellent firm of interior designers who do very impressive interiors. I have worked with them and they are highly professional and full of ideas:
