i'm feeling the urge to get up and do some renovating/decorating after visiting design*sponge today and seeing lisa s's and lisa c's sneak peeks into their homes. what i like about the spaces grace is showcasing is the fact that they are rooms you wouldn't get the chance to see in the magazines otherwise. magazines seem to always show the staged, scary-perfect spaces and the fact that these are more real, they are more obtainable and more desireable really.
i most definitely have to get something even remotely close to that kofod larsen credenza including all the vignettes lisa c has and i am really liking the lived-in art-filled look over at lisa s's. dream deam dream.

thank you for the mention. i love your blog and have been a visitor for some time. i am not always so good at commenting!!
i think these houses look perfect, too. not scary... MINE is scary. WHY can't I get the lived in look? I have two dogs and two cats, too!!!! And a husband!!!!!!
And yet... just junk. I think having things orderly makes a big difference.... but even still. Lisa S's house, for me, is just impeccable!!!!
hey jan... aw shucks... you have me blushing...
and kristina - it is a mess sometimes. it just is.... and then i clean up and i feel better - but no one is perfect ALL the time! :)
i agree jan, this feature of the homes is just wonderful and natural!
