i'm already imagining the things that could be made with this neopolitan plywood. the contrasts in smith & fong's latest offering from the bamboo forest are amazing.
(enviro fact: unlike traditional hardwoods, bamboo when harvested does not require replanting. mature bamboo has an extensive root system that continues to send up new shoots for decades. harvesting is done by hand, minimizing the impact on the local environment).
