grafitti bench
funny how one has to go all the way across the world in cypberspace to find an artist in one's own backyard. christopher wong is an industrial designer from carleton university of industrial design in ottawa, ontario now residing in burnaby, b.c, (a suburb of vancouver).
check out his graffiti bench which is designed for the entranceway. as stated on the site, "it is given to the user as a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood with its components milled out, but attached to each other by thin junctions. the user must paint the wood to decorate and seal the surfaces, cut the junctions to separate the pieces, then assemble the bench using the slot-together features."
