last november i posted about luren jenison, a recent rhode island school of design graduate from the department of textiles and her beautiful wall hangings. it's so interesting to watch artists emerge and develop.
her bio reads, "she has been working within the scale of environment creation through interior design and textile design, as well as installation. her interests in the decorative arts lie mainly in the intersection of the surreal and the conventional. she collects images and examples of the bizzare, the grotesque, and the unexpected in designs for the home, and filters them through her personal style and color taste to create new works."
i just found out she has a new print and t-shirt out at art in the age (love the reds) and also has some silkscreened pillows at the cabin comforts store at secret project robot, 210 kent avenue, in williamsburg, brooklyn, new york.
luren is currently living and working in philadelphia. her site.
