Then cut along the edges (top to bottom) to create a feathered effect. You'll notice that the top feather will have the black edges. If you would like to have black edges on all the others for reach print out (like we created), you will need to run a black fine tip pen along the edges. (Note: we only added a bit of edges here and there, to make it look more hand illustrated, and to lessen the work involved). Repeat with as many feathers as you would like to make.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EFor the Washi Tape Leaf Gift Toppers\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ECollect your leaves and make sure they are clean from any dust and nice and dry.\u0026nbsp; Start to wrap the leaves by placing the washi tape on the diagonal starting at the top front part of the leaf and wrapping all the way around to the back.\u0026nbsp; Cut off at the back, and then start again overlapping just a little over the first tape, going around to the back again, and repeat until you reach the bottom of the leaf. Once you're at the bottom, wrap the tape around the stem, securing tightly.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EFor the berries\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ESimply place the tape over each berry, wrapping around as tightly as possible.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EWrap as many leaves as you need and then accessorize with a combination of the mini pampas grass and feather images. So fun! But onto the gingerbread houses.\u0026nbsp; We made three  versions. 2 modern and one traditional with a little twist! Putting together a gingerbread house using icing is the hardest part, so if you aren't going to eat it, glue gun it! To start you'll need to break about 5 or 6 hard candies (like  Jolly Ranchers or lifesavers) in a blender, until broken into small  pieces. Place a piece of parchment on the bottom of a cookie sheet.\u0026nbsp; Wrap two of the roofs with parchment and create an a-frame.\u0026nbsp; Fill the space in between (in the \"A\" area, with the broken pieces of hard candies (see below).\u0026nbsp; Melt in a 350°F oven for approx 4-5 minutes until melted.\u0026nbsp; Careful not to let it get too hot as it will start to bubble, and the bubbles will create holes in your window. But not to worry, if you have a few, just pop them with a toothpick before they start to cool off.\u0026nbsp; Let cool until very hard.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-6MENPrCKRaE\/VnhP0BnuVnI\/AAAAAAABbbA\/LS7GZNmu9Jw\/s1600\/IMG_4495.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/-6MENPrCKRaE\/VnhP0BnuVnI\/AAAAAAABbbA\/LS7GZNmu9Jw\/s1600\/IMG_4495.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0026nbsp;Once the A-Frame window has cooled, you can now remove from the pan and start to glue\/ice it together with the roofs to create an A-Frame of course!\u0026nbsp; If you use icing, this process will take much longer as you'll have to hold for quite a long time.\u0026nbsp; If you use a glue-gun, it just takes a matter of 5 or so minutes, until the glue has completely dried and it is able to stand on it's own.\u0026nbsp; Careful though as the hot glue can also melt the candied window, so you sort of have to work fast. Once you place that glue on, immediately connect the gingerbread roof to it.\u0026nbsp; Secure with more glue on both sides.\u0026nbsp; Once both sides are done, then just glue them to another roof, at the base to make things really secure.\u0026nbsp; Voila! You're done!\u0026nbsp; Decorate as you wish.\u0026nbsp; We left ours pretty plain, but think a dollop of dripping icing around the roof-top would look nice too!\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003E\u003Cb\u003EThe Modern | Hack No. 2\u003C\/b\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThis was probably the most difficult, but still pretty easy. It's my favourite though.\u0026nbsp; Love the car park underneath!\u0026nbsp; \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cdiv class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"\u003E\u003Ca href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-t2nC4VXsYHQ\/VnhJNdPOIvI\/AAAAAAABbak\/FXDfm820dEQ\/s1600\/4gin.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"\u003E\u003Cimg border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-t2nC4VXsYHQ\/VnhJNdPOIvI\/AAAAAAABbak\/FXDfm820dEQ\/s1600\/4gin.jpg\" \/\u003E\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003EYou will need: \u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E2 IKEA Gingerbread House Kit Roofs and one more if you like one in the carpark area (as shown)\u003Cbr \/\u003E4 IKEA Gingerbread Sides\u003Cbr \/\u003EHard Candies (approximately 5 or 6)\u003Cbr \/\u003ERoyal Icing to glue (or a glue gun is better if you aren't going to eat it)\u003Cbr \/\u003EParchment paper \u003Cbr \/\u003ELighting (optional)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cb\u003ETo Make\u003C\/b\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EYou'll need to make another candy window, this time rectangular, the same size as the sides.\u0026nbsp; To do this, follow the directions above, only create a rectangular space by placing four gingerbread house sides onto a cookie sheet (covered in parchment of course).\u0026nbsp; Fill the rectangular space with the hard candies and melt (as above). Once cooled and hardened, start to glue one side of the window to a gingerbread roof.\u0026nbsp; Once cooled and secure, glue together the top roof piece, simultaneously as a side gingerbread piece (which becomes the back).\u0026nbsp; The roof will have a slight slant as the side piece will be a bit smaller. Once secure, add on two side pieces to the bottom (flip the already made piece upside down to do this).\u0026nbsp; Add each piece on each side.\u0026nbsp; Glue one more side to the back. And voila! Decorate as you wish!\u0026nbsp; We added fairy lights and a few licorice yule log candies from IKEA.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003E\u003Cb\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/b\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E \u003Cspan style=\"font-size: large;\"\u003E\u003Cb\u003EOne-sided Roof House | Hack No. 3\u003C\/b\u003E\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThis one is by far the easiest.\u0026nbsp; Just follow the instructions on the IKEA packaging. But not to worry, if you have a few, just  pop them with a toothpick before they start to cool off.\u0026nbsp; Let cool until  very hard. Just follow the instructions on the IKEA packaging to put together - and maybe this one you could use icing instead of the glue gun - as it's easier to stay together than the others.\u0026nbsp; And this could be the edible one! For the benches, glue gun two small candies to either side underneath.\u0026nbsp; And yay!
